Meet Paula Madrid, graphic designer at BIG and the mastermind behind this years visual theme for DARE TO DREAM. We asked Paula Madrid to share with us what she's looking forward to during 3daysofdesign 2024.
For the upcoming 3daysofdesign festival, Paula Madrid recommends exploring three innovative designers and design studios:
Objective Studies: I'm really impressed by the ten international designers at Objective Studies, who boldly challenge conventional norms with their masterful pieces. I think it's refreshing to see newcomers with such promise. Their exhibition, 'A Calm Place,' is like a breath of fresh air, showcasing innovative works that really celebrate craftsmanship and creativity. Plus, I love how they're nurturing emerging talent—it's inspiring!
HAY: HAY holds a special place in my heart as an all-time Danish favorite design studio. Stepping into their showroom in Østergade feels like stepping into the essence of Scandinavian design itself, blending functionality with aesthetics. HAY is not just a design studio to me; it's a cherished part of my Danish experience.
Plastiz: Plastiz has really captured my attention because, in their exhibition, they ingeniously reimagine waste. This Italian startup tackles plastic waste by transforming discarded materials into stunning pieces of furniture with compacted planks and sheets. I feel a deep appreciation for their commitment to sustainability. It's uplifting to see them addressing global challenges through such innovative design.
