Furniture Programme is an integral part of the Interior Architecture Major of the Department of Architecture at Aalto University in Finland. On top of spatial design studies, with experimental courses on both BA and MA levels, and outstanding workshop facilities, students explore hands–on the diverse creative and conceptual approaches to furniture and product design practice.

INSIDE—OUT can refer to blurring the boundary between interior and outdoor space, as well as to the in–depth nature of the design process. The exhibition presents the work of a group of young, international furniture designers currently studying at Aalto University in Finland. While diverse in material, form and function, all works share a common ground in their thoughtful, versatile design, adaptable to different environments and contexts. Suspended within a structured grid, each piece stands alone yet remains in dialogue with its immediate neighbours. Designed from the inside out, every work evolves from a conceptual clarity, shaping its final expression and spatial presence. Come and discover their work!

Estonia’s national story is simple: succeeding at change is our superpower; in design, that means future ready solutions with a gentle, human pace, delivered with a friendly, down to earth voice and clean, simple form. Silen, Slept, SEOS, House of Pärnamets, Maarit Pöör, Jalg, Aeris, RaSun, EMBAKUMBA—gathered at the Embassy of Estonia to show how a small, digitally fluent nation turns calm into a competitive edge—spaces and objects that make room to think, feel, and slow down. Together, they translate Estonia’s brand into lived experience: authentic materials, generous space, and technology that disappears into the background—design that invites you to slow down, breathe, and notice what matters in this moment.

With deep respect for design and acknowledging the urgent need for a circular transformation, FÓLK creates objects and furniture that enable the circularity of materials. Some of FÓLKs circular designs—such as The Airbag and The Lava Vase—have already become modern design icons, expressing how one’s waste can become another’s treasure. FÓLK explores new circular systems and develops designs from materials that are discarded, disregarded or leftover and through that journey aspires to facilitate people and companies to create more responsible interior solutions.

EETAL is a project launched in 2021 by Japan Benex Corporation, a company specialising in precision sheet metal processing technology. Through collaborations with designers, it reconsiders the creative potential of sheet metal from multiple perspectives. Embracing an experimental approach, the project challenges conventional notions of industrial production and explores new dialogues between sheet metal and design. The name "EETAL" originates from "SHEET METAL." It combines "EET" from "SHEET" and "TAL" from "METAL," forming a coined term that symbolises the new form of sheet metal they strive to create.
