We Do Wood

We Do Wood was founded in Copenhagen in 2011, based on the vision that new Danish design and strict sustainability principles should be closely intertwined. While not aiming to revolutionise the industry, We Do Wood seeks to contribute to a new era of reliability. Their primary goal is to produce high–quality furniture that embodies both functional and expressive honesty. We Do Wood is committed to consistently pursue superior alternatives and strongly believes in collective responsibility towards future generations. Dedicated to making a positive impact on our planet.

Crafted to Last brings together Anno Studio, Kjellerup Væveri, SPEKVA and We Do Wood in a shared exhibition during 3daysofdesign. Together, the four Danish brands present a curated universe centred around craftsmanship, honest materials, and design made to last. From solid wood and woven textiles to thoughtfully crafted furniture and interior objects, the exhibition highlights a shared approach to creating products with longevity, both in quality and aesthetics. Crafted to Last is a celebration of slow production, tactile materials, and objects created to be kept, used, repaired, and passed on, rather than replaced. At the heart of the exhibition lies one shared belief, that the most sustainable design is the one that lasts.

What began over 20 years ago as a spontaneous experiment in Tom Rossau’s Copenhagen workshop has evolved into a distinctive design philosophy. While shaping wooden slats into a cylindrical form, Tom discovered the expressive potential of light, material, and form, and a new chapter in Danish lighting design was born. Today, the collection has grown to include a wide range of materials and styles, yet the brand remains rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and sculptural design. Each lamp is still meticulously designed and handcrafted in Copenhagen, with a strong focus on quality and responsible production, bringing Danish design to interiors around the world.

Yobiiro fuses traditional craftsmanship from regions across Japan with cutting–edge technology, transforming them into products that awaken the senses and emotions. It treats subtle shifts in light, scent, and temperature as colours that enrich everyday life. Like the first pour that draws water from a well, it invites new perception and awareness. Working with production regions, craftspeople, and technologists, Yobiiro explores forms of value beyond functionality or numbers—value meant to be felt. In doing so, it brings a first drop into daily life and sketches new possibilities for the future.

Jan Kath Design has revolutionised the world of rugs. For nearly 30 years, the brand has been shaping the international design scene with its work. While the creative language spans a broad spectrum, production remains deliberately rooted in tradition. Each carpet is crafted using centuries–old hand–knotting techniques in selected workshops in Nepal and India, certified for sustainability by the Swiss label STEP. Knot by knot, skilled artisans translate the designs into textile art. Only premium natural materials are used, including hand–combed Tibetan highland wool, fine Chinese silk, and Nepalese nettle. This balanced material composition gives the rugs a distinctive tactile quality and a deep, layered presence beyond the surface.
