Danish Art Workshops contribute to the field of art and design in Denmark by providing professionals with a unique platform for artistic development and production. In the many specially equipped workshops, professional artists and designers can apply for residency to develop their ideas and produce large and complex works with support and counselling from skilled professionals. Here lie the roots of large amounts of contemporary art and design; here new talents in the art and design scene are born. Curation and exhibition design by Birgitte Due Madsen.

Danish Art Workshops – Selected Projects is an exhibition platform in the largest production residency of Denmark. For 3daysofdesign, the old warehouse transforms into a showroom for projects, developed in the workshops within the latest years. The displayed projects range widely in expression, materials, and artisanship. All are of the highest artistic quality and carefully selected out of the degree of originality, materiality, and sustainability. The exhibitors are: Alberte Svendsen, Anne Bjørn, Anne Romme & Jacob Bang, Anne Brandhøj & Signe Fensholt, Alvilde Holm, Amanda Betz, Bjarke Ballisager, Emil Salto, George Koutsouris, Jens Ole Árnason, Jonas Lyndby Jensen, Lærke Ryom, Michael Antrobus, Rasmus Fenhann, Signe Emdal, Tronhjem Rømer.

At Manu, every product has a soul, a vibe, and a personality. The philosophy guiding Manu is that by developing emotional relationships with objects, one will start treating them with the respect, care, and longevity the world needs. That's why Manu's products are not bought or sold - they're adopted.

Manu’s first collection explores how waste materials from lemon peels, PET bottles, and cornstarch can be given new life. Through the technology of 3D-printing, one-time-use materials are turned into a lifelong product and companion through a process that flips the unwanted into the wanted.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2024, over 400 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2025 the festival will be held from 4 - 6 June.

Pack your bags, book a hotel and come to Copenhagen! 3daysofdesign is open to the general public and everyone is invited to visit the showrooms, exhibitions, workshops and design talks. All events are free of charge.

Please check the programme, which is updated on an ongoing basis, at 3daysofdesign.dk
