BoConcept + BIG present Nawabari. When two Danish design pioneers co-create a furniture collection prompted by the question: ‘What happens when you tie a sponge with rope?’, the result is never going to be ordinary. BoConcept collaborated with Jakob Lange at BIG, Bjarke Ingels Group, to create the Nawabari collection, comprising a sofa, armchair, art-piece pouffes and coffee tables that exude a sense of creative curiosity and playfulness. Nawabari’s squeezed-to-burst contours feel at home in any design-inspired space and are emblematic of the two Danish companies’ ambition to democratise great design. BoConcept regularly collaborates with award-winning designers to create furniture and more for private homes and business spaces.

Karup Design stands out in the furniture industry for its multifunctional and stylish furniture. Emphasizing the philosophy 'Make room for more. In less space,' Karup Design's focus has always been on functional yet aesthetically pleasing furniture solutions.

This focus on multifunctionality is not merely about utility but also a commitment to decluttering and simplifying living areas. Aesthetically, Karup Design’s creations embrace a minimalist ethos, characterized by clean lines, simplicity, and a natural color scheme, primarily using pine wood and complimentary color tones. This design approach extends beyond visual appeal, fostering a sense of openness and more space, especially in small living spaces.

Founded in 2019, MOTARASU creates lighting, furniture and interior that calls for being present in the now. Fusing the design heritage of Denmark with the aesthetics of Japanese craftsmanship, the efforts are focused on the philosophy of surrounding oneself with few yet beautiful, high-quality objects that bring joy.
Closeness to nature is fundamental to all MOTARASU designs, where material and techniques combine to create tactile and sculptural objects that each place natural materials central to both design and functionality.

During 3daysofdesign MOTARASU launches the new CHO lamp series by Ernst & Jensen. Furthermore new lamps by Tani Toshiyuki will be launched.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.

Pack your bags, book a hotel and come to Copenhagen! 3daysofdesign is open to the general public and everyone is invited to visit the showrooms, exhibitions, workshops and design talks.
