Anklang, a young furniture brand with deeply rooted in the charming town of Præstø, Denmark. The company operates out of a creative workshop situated amidst fields and forests, sharing space with a print and framing workshop. It was in this setting that the idea for the unique furniture emerged – motivated by the desire to use surplus wood from the framing production. Everything is designed and handmade in the carpentry with a strong focus on thorough knowledge of the materials. Danish materials are preferred whenever possible, with a commitment to providing furniture that is clear and transparent – a "from soil to table" approach. Anklang embraces the danish forest and endeavors to infuse that feeling of calm into its furnitures.

At a time when there is huge international focus on the most famous Danish furniture architects, Selected BySecher would like to present some of the lesser known, but very talented Danish furniture architects and designers. In 2023 their focus is on the stunning furniture pieces by architect Michael Bloch and lamps designed by Per Sax Møller. The company is a part of Secher Fine Art & Design, a specialist in Scandinavian Vintage midcentury furniture, design and Fine Art, since 2002.

Nanette de Kool graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago. Back in Europe she worked for textile studios in Antwerp and Amsterdam, where her love for 3D knits began. Nanette loves working with circular 3D knits: remains like leftover textiles and yarns including production flaws. Imperfections are part of the creation; tactility and the texture of the fabric add to her visual language. She screen-prints, washes, cuts and then re-assembles the textile, creating new compositions. This leads to more depth in color, character, texture and story. Next to wall-hangings, Nanette also makes suspended screens, room-dividers and made-to-measure pieces.

Since its inception in 2013, Signe Byrdal Terenziani has facilitated the growth of the design community in her role as Managing Director. It all began as a small design event held in an old warehouse in Nordhavn, a harbour area overlooking Copenhagen’s waterfront. Four Danish brands launched the event as a joint initiative: Montana, Erik Jørgensen (now owned by Fredericia Furniture), Anker & Co, and Kvadrat. At that time, Copenhagen lacked a proper design festival, since the previous annual furniture fair at Bella Center closed down some years before.

Today, the 3daysofdesign festival extends to the entire city of Copenhagen and is considered the most significant annual design festival in Scandinavia.

Each year since its inception, 3daysofdesign has grown in popularity exponentially. In 2023, over 250 brands exhibited at the festival, where visitors could choose from as many as 500 events to attend in various design districts across Copenhagen, such as design talks, networking events, etc.

3daysofdesign takes place every year in Copenhagen mainly during the second week of June from Wednesday to Friday. In 2024 the festival will be held from 12 - 14 June.
