Through a series of three design talks under the theme Something Lifelike, the focus is set on a movement within design where the designer is moving beyond the age of mass production and into an age of lifelike design. Things, codes, plants, animals and people arise and consist of being grafted or coded with their own vitality, and the designer is creating almost autonomous and lifelike solutions.
The talk series is created by Danish designer and philosopher Jens Martin Skibsted by appointment of the Danish Arts Foundation in collaboration with the Design Museum Denmark.
The Danish Arts Foundation works to spur development of new ideas and projects and to create opportunities for Danish craftsmen and designers in Denmark and internationally.
