During 3daysofdesign – Visiting GETAMAs new showroom in Nørre Farimagsgade, you will experience a large range of our craftsmanship. They offer a talk about why good craftsmanship is sustainable, and will be presenting relaunches of i.a. Mogens Koch design. Take a well-deserved break in Ørsteds Parken, their beautiful neighbourhood.
GETAMA originally started in 1899 in Gedsted in North Jutland where a young, innovative, and enterprising carpenter named Carl Pedersen came up with the bright idea of using the large quantities of seaweed from the Limfjord as mattress filling. He called it Gedsted Tang- og Madrasfabrik – or GETAMA. Even today, GETAMA manufactures all designs in Denmark, crafted by talented and dexterous furniture makers and upholsterers. GETAMA has its factory in Gedsted and a showroom in Nørre Farimagsgade in the heart of Copenhagen.
